The Project
Construction of a retaining wall and weir from concrete and large random stone to tame and control the strong flow of river water through a hydro generator providing a constant supply of electricity and reducing the risk of flooding.

The Problem
As the site is prone to extreme flooding, traditional resin-based wall fixings were inadequate and failing because the site was never dry long enough for the resin to go off.

The Solution
TEP quickly manufactured a 450mm hybrid wall tie, which combined key features from TIGER Ties & Bolts to provide a unique and optimised solution. Like all TIGER products, the ties proved quick & simple to install and most importantly guaranteed an instant fix.
